One of the simple things that we can never do enough is lean back and practise that extension. It is a very important thing to practise because we are living lives now that we are constantly leaning forward.
Leaning back, but not engaging your head or arms is not extension. When practising, try to tilt your head back and lean with your head. When you do this, you are allowing your lower back to engage. When you lean with your arms, you can practise extension and lean a little further.
Extension is brilliant. We should all be doing it- anyone that is behind the wheel of a car, behind a desk- get out there and lean back. Try to lengthen the body backwards and you will feel better for it!
