What are you thankful for?

Wow, November is here and to me it feels like it has come around pretty quickly. I guess that means that we are busy and that is always a good thing. People that have a lot to do always seem to notice just how quickly time flies. Personally, I would always prefer being busy rather than watching time stand still. Right now however, I feel that it is really important to choose how to focus our energy and what exactly it is that is making us so busy…

Balancing things on my plate reminds me of this brilliant quote by Brian Dyson the CEO of Coca Cola:

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and spirit … and you’re keeping all of these in the air.

You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for Balance in your life.

It is true, I do often use this quote and I use it more often this time of year. Having an American wife means we have an excuse to celebrate American traditions and the end of November is Thanksgiving. Regardless of the traditional meanings, it is one of my favourite holidays. A chance for friends and family to gather, share an amazing meal and say what you are grateful for. It is also a tradition that hasn’t been taken over by Hallmark or the need for presents so that is another massive win for me.

This year, first and foremost, I am thankful for my health and the health of my amazing family. Each and every day I am thankful that I get to go to work as a chiropractor at an office we created and that I get to serve you, my amazing patients. I hope this can convey my sincerity of just how grateful I am for the opportunity to help you and that I ideally have a positive influence on your life.

Hopefully by now you have noticed we have increased our massage and nutrition hours at Transitions Chiropractic. Ideally you have been spreading the good word about just how awesome chiropractic is and how we are always here to help. Come in and get checked and adjusted leading up to this summer either to help deal with the stresses & strains of finishing off exams, from getting knocked off the waves one too many times or even to help deal with the emotional burden of the end of the year approaching.

Either way I am massively thankful for each and everyone of you and for your amazing support. I can’t wait to see you in the office where we will have delicious treats as our little taste of Thanksgiving…..

Muchas Gracias!
